One of the first questions we ask ourselves when arriving in Rosas for an apartment stay is: where to do our shopping in Roses Costa Brava? Good news: Roses has a very comprehensive offering of food shops, from major international brands to neighbourhood grocery stores, as well as a covered market open every day. Here is our complete guide to stocking up as soon as you arrive.
Closest - Seasonal only
For small everyday shopping without having to go into the centre of Roses, the mini-market Add The Petite Canyelles beach is ideally located a few minutes' walk from our apartments.
Here you'll find the essentials for your needs: fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, drinks, cured meats, bread, hygiene products, and beach items. It's the perfect spot for a quick restock between swims or to complete your shopping without having to get back in the car.
- Ideal for: Express shopping, last-minute forgotten items, beach supplies
- Please note: The prices are slightly higher than major retailers, which is usual for a small local shop in a tourist area.
💡 Our advice: Do your big weekly shops at Mercadona or Carrefour, and save Suma for your everyday errands – fresh bread in the morning, ice creams in the afternoon, a bottle of fresh water before the beach!
