Two Toulousains in love with the Costa Brava

Hello, we are Philippe and Olivier, two people from Toulouse who fell in love with Rosas a few years ago and have never really gotten over it.

It all started with a trip to the Costa Brava, a discovery of Canyelles Petites, and that immediate certainty: we would return. Until the day we wanted to have a home. Today, we are the owners of two apartments in this residence we appreciate, 100 metres from the beach, with this view of the Bay of Roses that never tires us. And we’ve decided to share them with you.

Why do we do this

Olivier works in marketing. Philippe runs a home care services company. Between our two professions, there is a common thread: attention to others.

This is precisely the mindset we wanted to instil at Roses Rentals. Not an agency, not a company. Two owners who know their apartments inside out, who know where to eat the best grilled fish in Canyelles, which path to take to reach Cap de Creus, and at what time the light over the bay is most beautiful.

What we love about Roses

Roses is a destination that ticks all the boxes without ever being flashy. Here's what keeps us coming back:

The beach and the sea Canyelles Petites is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Brava. Crystal-clear waters, fine sand, a family-friendly atmosphere without being overcrowded. And a stone's throw away, wild coves accessible on foot or by kayak.

Gastronomy The seafront restaurants in Canyelles are a real find. Fresh fish, Catalan cuisine, tapas and patatas bravas in a relaxed atmosphere. We have our favourite spots, and we're happy to share them.

Nature and hiking The Cap de Creus Natural Park is just a few kilometres away. A lunar and wild landscape, spectacular coastal paths, and Cadaqués at the end of the road. It's hard to do better.

The weather Roses benefits from exceptional sunshine. Even in May and September, the days are long and warm. This is one of the well-kept secrets of the Costa Brava.

Proximity to France – From Toulouse, it's a 3.5-hour drive. From Paris by TGV via Figueres, it's less than 4 hours. Roses is one of the most accessible Mediterranean destinations for French travellers.

We have furnished and equipped our two apartments as we would have liked to find them when arriving on holiday: comfortable, well-equipped, bright, with that sea view that changes everything.

Every detail has been thought of — from the quality linen to the Nespresso coffee machine, from the included parking to the self check-in via key box so you can arrive at your own pace. Because your holiday starts the moment you drop your bags.

Our small network of independent guesthouses

Roses Rentals is part of a small circle of independent hosts who share the same philosophy: direct rentals, personalised welcomes, and respect for the traveller.

Among them are our friends David and Séverine, who manage several holiday apartments in Argelès-sur-Mer, 30 minutes north of Roses, on the French side of the border. Argelès offers a different atmosphere, lively and family-friendly, ideal for those who prefer to stay in France or complement their Catalan holiday with a few days on the Vermilion Coast.
